Acoustic Sessions, Inc. is a video/DVD production company specializing in acoustic blues, jazz, and world music. Located in New York City, the company was founded in 2000 by Woody Mann and Trevor Laurence. As part of their production company, Mann and Laurence, have developed a wide variety of guitar workshops and classes held at the  Acoustic Sessions NYC studio, as well as residential sessions throughout the USA and Europe. The mission of the company is to offer the finest in music instruction through hands-on workshops and state-of-the-art video production.

Mann is a recording artist, performer and a well known author of music books and DVDs. His recordings include over a dozen solo CDs, soundtracks for feature films, documentaries and commercial jingles. A veteran recording and performing artist, he has also tutored countless guitarists through his many popular books and DVDs.

Trevor Laurence is an Emmy award nominated video editor and director of photography. The director of photography for  Acoustic Sessions and Cinema 70 Films, he produced and directed numerous instructional and documentary films and DVDs.
 
Together they have established a music-oriented video production company and workshop center located on 38th Street, between 8th and 9th Aves in midtown Manhattan. The Acoustic Sessions studio is fully equipped for large and small studio productions as well as location shoots. Combining their talents as musicians, authors, producers and filmmakers with their ability to complete a project on time and on budget, Mann and Laurence have built a team of professionals who can handle any client's request.

Acoustic Sessions, Inc. has produced DVDs, videos and CDs for their own label as well as for their many clients. Recent projects include the Art of Acoustic Blues Guitar DVD series; "Lets Get Silly," a children’s performance concert video; "Hot Licks" instructional series DVD conversion and enhancement; on-line guitar lessons for the innovative Breakdownway.com; and numerous instructional DVDs - from scripting and shooting to editing and authoring.

Through worldwide distribution of their products and their state-of-the-art video production facilities,  Acoustic Sessions has become an industry leader in developing creative products and approaches to the art of learning music.
